Nothing reveals details about the ear (2) before launch

Nothing is set to unveil its third TWS, the Ear (2) on March 22 and the company released teasers to keep the hype afloat. And, he has now revealed some details about the upcoming headphones a few days before launch. Here’s what to expect.

In a recent Twitter feedNothing has revealed that the ear (2) will come with support for the LHDC 5.0 audio codec and high-resolution audio streaming. LHDC (Low Latency High Definition) further improves audio quality and complements AAC and SBC codecs. The focus is on ensuring even higher audio quality with the successor to the Ear (1).

It is also revealed that the Nothing Ear (2) will come with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. This information was shared via an interview with Forbes. Nothing is Carl Pei said Ear (2) will use improved manufacturing techniques, which can pave the way for a better IP rating.

Pei said: “This improved manufacturing means the gaps get smaller with the triple shot, this has allowed us to improve the water resistance of the headphones, which now have an IP54 rating.As a reminder, the Ear(1) TWS supported an IPX4 rating, in which the potential for dust resistance is unknown.

This information comes in addition to the recently leaked renders of Nothing Ear (2). The TWS should come with a semi-transparent designmuch like its predecessor, except for the name of the headphones and the change in placement of the noise-canceling microphones.

As for specs, the headphones are likely to support 11.6mm drivers, wireless charging support, up to 36 hours of playtime, Custom Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and more. The price should also be in the same range as the Nothing Ear (1). We’ll have more confirmed details at launch, scheduled for March 22. So, stay tuned to this space.
